Daher won the award in the Aerospace – Parts category for its project “Highly Loaded Thermoplastic Wing Rib,” a highly loaded thermoplastic wing rib developed for future aerospace programs.
This innovation, designed in collaboration with Victrex, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), CETIM, AniForm, and with the support of the DGAC, completely rethinks wing rib design to address today’s industrial challenges.

Key features of this innovation:

• CFRTP thermoplastic composite structure with up to 64 plies (12 mm) to meet robustness and production-rate requirements.
• Geometry optimization (reduced assembly surfaces, removal of stiffeners).
• Direct Stamping® process (Daher patent) eliminating a consolidation step to reduce cost and cycle time.
• Infrared welding (LIST process) enabling lighter, faster, rivet‑free assembly.
