Daher today signed an agreement with the French National Guard that reflects the company’s strengthened commitment to national defense and highlights the key role of employee reservists in protecting the country’s strategic interests.
A strong action at the service of national sovereignty
The signing ceremony – which marks a significant step in the company’s strategic direction – occurred during the Paris Air Show at Daher’s exhibit stand in the presence of Jérôme Leparoux, the Group’s Secretary General. This commitment enables Daher to solidify its goal of expanding the company’s activities in the defense sector and enhancing its contribution to French sovereignty.
A commitment aligned with Daher’s values and social responsibility
By partnering with the French National Guard, Daher affirms the intention to actively support its reservist employees. This approach is fully aligned with the group’s values of solidarity, responsibility and service. It also extends Daher’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts by integrating civic engagement and national security as integral components of its social and human policy.
A strong framework to support employees engaged in the reserve
Aligned with the French Military Programming Law (LPM), this agreement establishes a tangible and dynamic framework that encourages employee participation in the operational reserve. Going beyond the legal obligations, Daher has committed to providing greater flexibility, promoting service durations beyond the minimum requirement, maintaining full salary during these periods and fully recognizing this civic engagement within its CSR strategy. This engagement:
- Encourages service commitments beyond the legal minimum requirement, beginning with an initial threshold of 12 days; and
- Recognizing and promoting the civic engagement of its employees.
“Daher’s goal is to foster the engagement of its employees in actively contributing to the national effort,” stated Didier Kayat, Daher’s Chairman and CEO. “We are convinced that companies have a vital role to play in supporting the armed forces, both through their human resources and industrial capabilities. Signing this agreement is a major milestone in our commitment, and it confirms Daher’s long-term dedication to national defense.”
Official recognition granted by the National Guard
With this agreement, Daher receives the official status of “National Defense Partner for the Military Reserve,” a recognition awarded to companies that actively support the mobilization of their employees in the reserve.
This designation already is held by leading industrial companies such as Thales, DCI, KNDS, and Airbus.
The military reserve – a cornerstone of national security – relies not only on the voluntary commitment of citizens, but also on the determined support of companies such as Daher. This partnership sends a strong message across the French industrial landscape.
