Daher is committed to a low-carbon future

At Daher, ecological transition is a reality. The Group is implementing an ambitious climate policy built around four pillars

Focus on the climate policy’s four structured pillars

Reducing carbon emissions from operations

The clear objective: Cut operational emissions by 50% as of 2032 compared to 2022, with an interim target of -23% by 2027. Daher puts the focus on energy efficiency, electrification, low-carbon energy sources, and process optimization.

  • Energy Efficiency Sprint: Action in motion
Launched in 2025, the “Energy Efficiency Sprint” helps sites implement quick, concrete actions: smart heating control in warehouses (up to 20% gas savings across eight sites), LED re-lamping, insulation, equipment optimization, cool roofing, and even heated vests for logistics staff. A guide with 55 best practices and a checklist tool supports deployment and monitoring, with measurable results expected by Winter 2025–2026.
  • Electrification and alternative energy
Daher is progressively replacing gas boilers with electric ones (e.g., at the Tarbes, France site), along with converting its service vehicle fleet to electric, and expanding the use of sustainable fuels (SAF, bio-XTL) for air and ground-based operations. SAF usage in flight operations rose from 2.4% in 2024 to 6.6% in 2025, with targets of 10% by 2027, and 20% by 2032.
  • Energy metering and innovation
An energy metering program deployed at several industrial sites (Montrichard, Tarbes, Nantes in France, and soon at Tangier in Morocco) enables precise consumption tracking, anomaly detection, and equipment efficiency optimization. This initiative, which is part of the ODDICEA program, promotes traceability and benchmarking for lasting energy performance (also see: Industry at Daher: Driving performance and decarbonization).

Engaging suppliers in the transition

Progress requires collaboration: Daher is bringing its partners on board for decarbonization.

The Group commits to co-developing emission-reduction pathways aligned with the Paris Agreement:

  • With its main 50 highest-emitting suppliers by 2027; and
  • With the 100 by 2032.

In 2025, an initial campaign targeted 35 suppliers representing over one-third of upstream emissions. A questionnaire and evaluation grid assesses carbon maturity and ability to provide reliable CO₂ data, with the results fed into supplier selection and management tools.

Dialogue is strengthened through roundtables and tracking indicators: share of revenue covered by CO₂ data and proportion of suppliers engaged in mature decarbonization efforts. The purchasing community benefits from the “Engage for Climate” training program to build climate expertise and co-create low-carbon solutions.

  • Responsible transportation
As a logistics shipper, Daher has joined the FRET21 initiative to cut transport-related emissions by at least 8% over three years, with an action plan validated by an independent committee.

Reducing emissions from products and services

Daher acts on three fronts to lower the carbon footprint of its offerings:

  • Low-carbon aircraft
Daher’s goal is to launch a lower-carbon aircraft by 2027, integrating innovative technical solutions and enabling 100% SAF use. The Group participates in collaborative projects (CORAC: France’s Civil Aviation Research Council) to develop hybridization and energy efficiency.
  • Lighter weight and eco-design for aerostructures
At least 50% of the R&D budget is dedicated to composite research, with the goal of delivering lighter aerostructures for future programs. This is the core mission of the Shap’in tech center, inaugurated in 2023, which accelerates industrial maturity for composite solutions. Eco-design tools (C3R Impact) also are being tested to integrate life cycle analysis from the design phase.
  • Services and logistics
Daher optimizes energy efficiency in providing its services, and promotes biofuel use in ground-based operations. R&D investments continue to offer increasingly sustainable services to customers.

Adapting activities to climate risks

Daher anticipates climate change impacts for its infrastructure. A full physical risk-mapping was conducted across 30 sites (France and internationally) in partnership with AXA Climate. The most exposed sites will have adaptation plans by 2032, including such measures as adjusted work hours during heatwaves, along with business continuity plans for hurricanes.

Focus: Mobilizing all employees

Engage for climate: training to act
To drive change, Daher offers 3,000 employees the “Engage for Climate” program – a learning pathway to build climate-related skills. Two hundred managers and leaders from the Health, Safety, and Environment(HSE)/Facilities departments already have attended in-person sessions, and an e-learning course is now available to all. The goal: mobilize teams around the company’s climate policy.

A collective and transparent approach

At Daher, ecological transition is a collective project. Every action counts toward building a sustainable future in aviation.

“Daher’s climate policy is a concrete response to the climate emergency. It reflects our determination to act with method, ambition, and responsibility. Every employee has a role to play in this collective effort. Progress will be tracked regularly through annual carbon footprint mapping to ensure transparency, efficiency, and continuous improvement in our actions.”

Julie de Cevins, Daher’s Chief Sustainability Officer
