Daher Aircraft strengthens its system integration  capabilities for multi-mission Kodiak aircraft

The cockpit of this Kodiak 100 reflects a major systems integration performed by Daher Aircraft for a multi-mission customer, including the addition of a third AM transceiver and a six-channel FM transceiver, along with a completely new communications management system, as well as the provision of 110-volt power and additional USB power.

NBAA-BACE 2026, Las Vegas, Nevada, October 19, 2026 – Daher Aircraft is reinforcing its presence in the multi-mission aviation market by stepping up the integration of specialized systems for operators of Kodiak 100s and Kodiak 900s.

The company is underscoring these enhanced integration capabilities during this week’s NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas, where two airplanes from its turboprop-powered product line are on display: the Kodiak 900 Multi-Mission Aircraft and a TBM 980.

Recent major system integrations – including a Kodiak 900 for the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation – validate Daher Aircraft’s ability to combine its expertise as the manufacturer of Kodiak airplanes with its integration of advanced communications and other mission-specific equipment.

“Multi-mission customers need more than a capable aircraft. They need a solution that brings together the airplane, its mission equipment and the support required to keep it performing in demanding operating environments,” said Nicolas Chabbert, the CEO of Daher Aircraft. “By continuing to develop our own integration capabilities, we provide customers with a more comprehensive offer while further developing the expertise needed to pursue additional opportunities in this market.”

Integrating communications for a full range of missions

This Kodiak 900 for the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation was among Daher Aircraft’s mission systems integration projects.

One recent example is the Daher Aircraft communications-focused integration on a new Kodiak 900 for the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation. The airplane is intended for multiple applications, including support for aerial fire attack, the transportation of personnel, and other conservation-related activities.

This installation includes Canyon’s AeroConnect digital audio control system and an expanded radio configuration, together with an Air Tactical Group Supervisor (ATGS) capability. From the rear operators’ station, the observer can monitor radio communications while monitoring activity on the ground – supporting the coordination of aerial firefighting resources.

Daher Aircraft’s approach to multi-mission systems integration brings together engineering, manufacturing and maintenance expertise with the Kodiak airplane family, supported by specialized equipment suppliers. It provides a foundation for meeting the demanding specifications of government agencies and other operators seeking aircraft configured for specific operational roles

The company’s multi-mission strategy extends beyond delivering suitably-equipped aircraft. By developing the ability to perform increasingly complex integrations within its production and maintenance organization as the Kodiak OEM (original equipment manufacturer), the company is reinforcing its control over the process and the coordination of onboard systems.

Editors’ note: During NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas, Nevada, Daher Aircraft is exhibiting the Kodiak 900 Multi-Mission Aircraft and the TBM 980 in the “Aircraft Connection” static display at Henderson Executive Airport (October 20-21, exhibit #AC-23).
