At the heart of operations: Daher supporting armed forces in the field

Ensuring equipment availability on a daily basis, training personnel, and deploying rapidly to military bases in France and abroad: sustainment has become a critical priority for today’s armed forces. This is precisely where Daher delivers its defense support services, closely aligned with operational realities.

In practical terms, support begins as soon as equipment enters operational service. Equipment qualification, operator and maintainer training, and the implementation of sustainment organizations are all designed to ensure systems are immediately operational while guaranteeing support throughout their service life.

Supporting active fleets

In the field, Daher teams provide ongoing support to military operators. The Group has supported the TBM fleet operated by both the French Air and Space Force and the French Army for more than 20 years, including maintenance and mid-life retrofit programs. Daher also supports the Xingu fleets operated by the French Air and Space Force and the French Navy through obsolescence management and system modernization initiatives.

Other examples include support services for Écureuil helicopters operated by the French National Gendarmerie and Twin Otter aircraft operated by the French Air and Space Force, including on-base maintenance and logistics support, even across geographically dispersed environments. In such configurations, the ability to respond quickly and secure the flow of parts and equipment is essential.

Deployment and field presence

Daher teams can be rapidly deployed to military bases in mainland France, overseas territories, or international locations, providing comprehensive support capabilities wherever required.

The Group relies on an international footprint, particularly in the Middle East through its subsidiaries in Doha and Abu Dhabi, to relay operations, secure logistics flows, and ensure continuity of support as close as possible to operational theaters.

MCO and MRO: Sustaining performance over time

Beyond aircraft fleets, Daher also provides support for critical assets such as containers and shelters, ensuring their maintenance, availability, and long-term adaptability, including in response to obsolescence challenges.

Sustainment is first and foremost about ensuring continuity of operations. Our objective is to keep equipment available despite operational constraints in the field, so that personnel can use it without interruption,” explains Hubert Grépin, Head of Defense Support at Daher.

In practice, this translates into a fully integrated support organization encompassing training, maintenance, MCO (Operational Condition Maintenance), and MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul), with teams capable of operating on-site and supporting equipment throughout its entire lifecycle.

A long-term sustainment organization

These services are often delivered through comprehensive support contracts, including commitments on equipment availability and response times. This framework provides long-term sustainment and ensures service continuity closely aligned with operational requirements.

Operating across Europe and internationally, Daher tailors its support capabilities to each operational context while maintaining a consistent objective: staying close to the field to ensure equipment availability and operational continuity every day.
