Daher establishes a Group Quality Department led by Thierry Gendre

Paris, France

Daher, an aircraft manufacturer and equipment supplier for industry and services, has established a centralized Group Quality Department to continue to leverage quality as a major growth driver. The department will serve as an asset that enables the Group to continually improve its high standards and service for current customers while developing a significant share of its revenue in North America.

Didier Kayat has entrusted this responsibility to Thierry Gendre, previously of Airbus, who joined the Daher team as Senior Vice-President Quality on April 1, 2018. Mr. Gendre’s focus will be on managing Daher’s full range of responsibilities as an aircraft manufacturer, industrial company and service provider, while also steadily improving customer satisfaction.

A 1992 graduate of the Toulouse Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in engineering and material physics, Mr. Gendre gained extensive experience in aerospace over the course of his seventeen-plus years at Airbus, where he most recently served as Vice-President Procurement Operations Aerostructures.
Mr. Gendre aims to drive home the importance of quality at Daher and help achieve steady improvement in customer satisfaction. He will report directly to Group CEO Didier Kayat and serve as a member of the Daher Executive Committee.
Thierry Gendre: “I’m very honored by the trust that has been placed in me. I’m intent on leveraging my experience at Airbus to continue the Group’s work to improve quality standards. Achieving progress in all these initiatives at Daher represents a new challenge for me, which I hope to rise to with my teams.”

As a recognized equipment supplier, Daher has made quality a major focus of its development strategy and aims to continue its steady progress, to ensure its products, services and projects meet the most stringent quality standards. This new challenge is of the main reasons that Daher formed the new, centralized Quality Department, which has its own resources and is independent from the operational departments and business units. The department will also oversee authorizations, certifications and the quality system.
