Aeronautical Inspector Training

Prepare for the CQPM Control Agent Certification 0186 and become an aeronautical inspector. In this role, you’ll ensure that parts and assemblies meet quality standards by checking them carefully and reporting any issues. You’ll also make sure that procedures and rules are correctly followed.

The training lasts 400 hours, with 267 hours of theory and 133 hours of on-the-job observation.

As an inspector, your tasks will include checking inspection tools, reviewing manufacturing documents, interpreting results, reporting problems, and contributing to better quality and efficiency.

This training is offered in partnership with industry professionals. Between 2020 and 2022, it had an 8.3% drop-out rate, an 83.3% success rate, and 90.9% of trainees found a job afterward.

Required Qualities

  • Knowledge of general aeronautical vocabulary
  • Understanding of aircraft systems (ATA)
  • Proficiency in structural assembly and associated processes
  • Familiarity with industrial documentation

Training Objectives

This program supports career development in aircraft production and assembly. The content is designed to provide trainees with the foundational knowledge needed for the role of an aeronautical inspector

Teaching Methodology

Training is delivered through a series of modules presented as guided slideshows, hands-on exercises (role-play simulations), and a 4 to 6-week internship in a company. At the end of the session, trainees receive a training booklet summarizing key learning points

Assessment & Certification

Candidates must demonstrate all required competencies as outlined in the CQPM reference framework in order to be approved by the examination panel

On-the-job observation: 133 hours

Target Audience & Prerequisites

This course is open to beginners in inspection roles. Minimum experience required: 1 year in the aeronautical sector or 2 years in quality inspection in a different industry
