DAHER coordinates all operations from the design of the A320 belly fairing to its integration on the aircraft. The design offices in St Julien de Chédon and Toulouse are responsible for the design and industrialisation whilst the production plant in Tangiers (Morocco) manufactures the composite panels. The Purchasing department procures additional parts. All the parts are then brought together at a "hub" managed by DAHER at Saint-Nazaire. For each aircraft in production, one kit is prepared, checked and transported to the AIRBUS site in Gron in shuttle containers specially designed by DAHER. On this customer site, DAHER accepts the batches and has put in place teams of partners who assemble and install the belly fairing onto the section of the A320.
One of the main challenges of this contract has been to keep up with AIRBUS as it increased throughput, which has risen from 24 aircraft a month to what will soon be 40 per month in the space of just two years.
DAHER has designed and manufactured several types of special containers to make waste safe and transport it from CEA (French Atomic Energy Commission) research centres to the ANDRA (French National Agency for Radioactive Waste Management) burial site near Troyes, France.
As the designer, manufacturer and owner of the fleet of containers that it maintains in operational conditions, DAHER has established a logistics base at Epothémont, near the ANDRA burial site.
For each waste transfer from a research centre to the ANDRA site, DAHER provides its containers to the CEA, transports them to the research centre, loads them, transfers them by authorised transport to Epothémont and then on to the ANDRA burial site.
Combining the design and manufacture of specific containers with fleet management, all transport management and maintenance, this service is at the heart of what makes DAHER so distinct: its comprehensive "Industry & Services" package.

This is why the Group is particularly acclaimed by the sector for its manufacturing expertise in the design and production of fully-equipped integrated shelters and containers for arms systems which fulfil all functions from storage to positioning, including maintenance.
By deploying its manufacturing skills for its customer,
DAHER managed to industrialise a service activity: module assembly. DAHER owns the bumper assembly line, designed all the tools for it and, thanks to its engineering capabilities, adapts them to the changes to procedures and models.
On this particularly innovative basis, DAHER is totally integrated into the industrial system of its customer, Renault Trucks, and manufactures the bumpers at the same rhythm of production as the vehicles, with total quality.
With its industrial culture, DAHER goes far beyond a simple service offer by becoming coordinator and designer of an entire link in its customer's industrial chain.
