Founding of DAHER in Marseille by Alphonse BARBAN; subsequent acquisition by Paul DAHER. The company had two activities: Maritime transport and merchanting in foundery products.

Industry: From the time of its establishment, DAHER was a major presence in the industrial world: Foundery, metallurgical products, and the shipbuilding industry.

1890

Industry: The Cimenteries LAFARGE entrusted DAHER with shipping all their exports.

1895

Maritime transport: Establishment of the DAHER Navigation à Vapeur steamship company.

Project management: This activity was launched with the handling and carriage of heavy lift goods (railway, port equipment).

1920

Internationalisation: Opening of foreign subsidiaries around the Mediterranean basin.

Automotive Industry: Opening of a PEUGEOT dealership in Lebanon.

Establishment by Lucien LHOTELLIER of the LHOTELLIER Company in Montrichard: The company business was packaging.

Defence: Supplying wood crates to the American forces stationed in Châteauroux.

Services: Launching of the warehousing activity.

Aeronautics: Aircraft air conditioning ducts and Aeronautical replacement parts.

Containers: Launching of its initial container production.

Defence: Design and production of its first missile containers.

Automotive: Opening of two new PEUGEOT dealerships in Belgium and in the United Kingdom.

Air carriage: The first air cargo shipping activity was launched.

Aeronautics: First haulage of airframe sections for the A300.

Nuclear: Installation of 500-tonnes cranes for the French Nuclear Power Plant construction programme (FRAMATOME - EDF).

Logistics: The first logistics activities were launched.

Aeronautics: Design of the first aircraft parts made of polyester resin and epoxy.

Oil Projects: Point-to-point carriage of oil projects and related operations in the Arab Gulf Region.

Chemicals: Packaging and storing of dry bulk products at Berre (dept. 13).

Aeronautics: First aeronautical parts made of the newest materials: carbon and kevlar.

Technology: Establishment of logistics platforms for IT and Office Automation sectors.

Defence: Design and production of the first Mobile Technical Shelters.

Chemicals: Transport of dangerous chemical products (tanker operations).

Defence: Design and production of the first metallic missile containers.

Automotive: Procurement for automotive production lines.

Space Industry: Design and production of the first satellite containers.

Procurement: Launching of the procuring activity with the purchase of technical products on behalf of manufacturers

Aeronautics: Design and development of the first ground support equipment for aircraft.

1999

LHOTELLIER Montrichard joined the DAHER Group.

2000

Technology: Deployment and maintenance of telecommunication and energy distribution networks for various industrialists: ALCATEL, EDF, TDF.

2001

Nuclear: Design and production of the first containers for fresh nuclear reactor fuel and wastes.

2003

Acquisition of "SAWLEY PACKAGING Co Ltd" (Derby – UK), subsidiary of ROLLS ROYCE Ltd, and "MANUTEX" (Saint Nazaire- Fr).

2003

DAHER built a new corporate model between manufacturing and services, serving industrial progress. DAHER positioned itself as an industrial services Group.

2006

In November, KAR-BOX, a Czech company, joined the DAHER group, bringing its technological expertise in the design and manufacture of logistics shelters, as well as its extensive knowledge of Eastern European and NATO armed forces. DAHER thus consolidated its presence in the European defence sector.

2007

In March, DAHER took over Nuclear Cargo Services (NCS), a German subsidiary of DEUTSCHE BAHN with an annual turnover of around 40 million Euro. With service activities for transport and temporary warehousing for the nuclear sector as well as for transport of heavy lifts, DAHER thus strengthened its European package for the nuclear market.

2007

In April, DAHER took over the Spanish company UNIGEL as well as five subsidiaries of the SESSE group which it merged into UNIGEL. With these new logistics services activities, DAHER increased its European package in the automotive sector.

2007

Having doubled in size over the past five years and with a turnover of 536 million Euro, DAHER has become a truly European equipment and services supplier.
