Asserting itself as a driving force for innovation with its tried-and-tested solutions designed to reduce cost of ownership, DAHER-SOCATA is pursuing a resolute strategy of Research & Technology investment. For the Group, the aim of this proactive initiative is to produce a more composite, more electric, “green” aircraft propelled by a more composite engine package.
Today, DAHER-SOCATA is the strategic partner in four major European “Risk-Sharing” programmes: Advitac, Ecowingbox, Nofudem and Fuscomp. These projects are being developed with Daher-Socata in two clusters: “Aerospace Valley” in the Midi-Pyrénées-Aquitaine region and “EMC2” in the Pays de La Loire region of France.
| ADVITAC The purpose of the programme is to create a composite tail cone with built-in systems. Technologies required: dry fibre placement, stitches, thermal and acoustic properties of the composite, system installation, product delivered in “Plug & Play” mode to the aircraft assembly line. | ECOWINGBOX The programme is designed to develop a central wing fairing box section made of composite materials and with integrated systems. Technologies required: thermoset, thermo-plastic, automation and robustness of processes and versatile processes. |
| FUSCOMP The programme aims to design a complete fuselage using composites and will be used initially for a business aircraft. Technologies required: integration of functions and control of infusion process. |
| NOFUDEM The NOFUDEM programme seeks to develop a nose-gear housing in composite materials. Technologies required: Expertise in infusion of large-scale complex parts, automatic assemblies and processes with high production throughput capability. |
